A man has been jailed after officers on patrol in #HemelHempstead stopped a vehicle and discovered a knife. The black Mercedes was stopped in the town on Monday (29 September), with the three occupants detained for a search. One of them was found to have concealed a knife in his trousers and was arrested. The investigation was picked up by the constabulary’s Case Investigation Team and Danyal Nawaz, aged 24, of Ely Way in Luton, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He appeared before Hatfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 30 September) where he pleaded guilty and was jailed for six months.
